Toddler Times

Anybody remember the commercial where the parents are telling some friends how their kid slid a grilled cheese sandwich into the VCR machine? Here's the modern version:

I just asked Rosie where my debit card was. (I'd given in to her screams while I conducted a business call.) She told me it was in the computer. Indeed it was -- she'd fit in into the CD slot. Thank goodness for tweezers.

Foot Fetish -- Thanks to Jason for the Title

Rosie just came downstairs, dressed in her daytime clothes. She proudly told me, "Look, my toes are naked!"

For Natalie

Natalie, a friend in Australia, has requested a couple of "what does Starr look like with a bump" photos. So, I had Jason take these about an hour ago.

For those who want the details: I'm 33 weeks pregnant. #4 (gender is "probably a girl") is due on May 4th, but my expected delivery date is May 18th or 19th.

Pancake Week

Shrove Tuesday (the day before Ash Wednesday) is interpreted as Pancake Day -- an opportunity to use up all the eggs, butter, and milk that would otherwise spoil during Lent. But since we usually make pancakes multiple times week (and occasionally multiple times a day), I thought I'd record the variety of pancakes consumed this week.

Tuesday morning: American pancakes with Nutella.

Cami's lunch: leftover pancake "sandwich" with Nutella (she purposely reserved two pancakes during breakfast for this purpose).

Supper: Scandinavian pancakes

Cami's Faith in God activity at church: English pancakes with strawberry filling.

Wednesday supper: German pancakes.

Friday breakfast: buckwheat pancakes (a favorite for Graham to make when he and I are the first ones up).

Saturday morning: Swedish pancakes with powdered sugar or strawberry glaze.

I Wish You Could Have Heard This

Cami made cupcakes, which are currently being consumed. Rosie licked all the chocolate frosting off the top of hers & was reaching for the next when I stopped her, "Rosie, eat your cake!"

Rosie took a deep breath and then responded, "Alwight, alwight. I will eat my cake."

Hi Everybody,

Since there's some interest in where we'll be in Scotland, here's the link to the house we are renting. I think it'll be fun to be in an upside-down house (the kitchen & living room are under the rafters, with the bedrooms on the ground level).
