Skyline Firedance

Music for these photos I took this afternoon. Someday I'll be sophisticated enough to photo edit. But for now, I'll just play with the "pin hole" filter on my camera.

Cami's Compliments

When we attended Parents' Evening at Cami's school a few months back, her teacher reported that she'd be thrilled to have a class full of Cami clones. (Which confirms that our children do act differently at school than they do at home.)

Anyway, Cami ran out of school on Friday with a huge grin & excitedly told me that she'd been selected to be "Star of the Week" for her class. I read her teacher's comments on her certificate & can't help but feel proud of my girl:

"For being an ALWAYS person! Always helpful, always kind, always working hard, always trying her best & always friendly."

King's Cross

Normally, I roll my eyes at touristy stuff. But sometimes there is just some thing you have to do.

While waiting for our train back to Leeds on Wednesday, I convinced Jason that we needed to find it for Cami. We wandered to the area designated for Platforms 9, 10, & 11. And then we followed the signs that took us to a different corridor. Unlike Harry, we didn't have a guard looking at us like we were wasting time asking for Platform 9 3/4. Instead, we could catch the Hogwart's Express when no one was looking.

An Evening in London

There's no particular order to these photos. Just something images from the jaunt Jason, Gracie, & I took to get her US citizenship & passport sorted. We met up with my friend Bethany, who makes an excellent guide.

Pretty in Purple, Courtesy of Ruby

Thanks, Ruby, for giving Gracie such a pretty dress. Like Cami, Grace looks great in purple. Second-hand fashion, original beauty.

Sleep Walking

Jason and I were in the family room watching a movie, when we see this pajama clad "sleepwalker" in the doorway. She came into the room doing a fairly good impression of a zombie. But once I started laughing, she started to giggle & assumed some new arm positions.

Now whenever she supposed to be in her bed, but wants to interrupt whatever I'm doing, I'm followed by the sleepwalker.
