Wales: Porthmadog Steam Train

Monday, 1 April 2013.  Porthmadog, Wales.   We caught a steam train that took us about a mile & then dropped us off at a little museum.  It was cold.  But that didn't keep some kids from enjoying the ride.

Wales: An Easter Walk

I could see a tower in the distance from our holiday cottage, so on Easter Sunday afternoon, I invited Cami to go for a walk with me to see if we could get find it.  It involved tromping down country roads, hiking through fields, crossing streams, resting by ruined buildings, & climbing up a steep hill.  A good adventure for us to have together.

Missing England Already: The Sky

So, if you are related to me or saw the Facebook announcement, this won't be news.  But not everybody may know, so here you go:  we're moving home.  Not just "home" as in, we're moving back to the U.S.  "Home" as in, we're going back to the city of my birth.

It's not immediate.  Jason's accepted a position at St. Louis University, but made it a condition that he'd start in September 2014.  So, we have fifteen months to say good.  To soak up as much of this wonderful place that I feel is truly where I belong.  So, I'll be putting up a lot of pictures in the future that aren't there for any other purpose than to feed my spirit when I'm missing home.

Wales: Peter Rabbit Found Us

Easter requires an egg hunt.  Even when you are on vacation in Wales.
