Lesley & Lisa, we'll be about 30 miles from Edinburgh, renting a house on a working farm. It's also about 15 minutes to the coast, so we ought to get some (cold) beach time. I'll send you the link on FB.
Mom, I didn't know you like Scottish music. Do you want some? They sell CDs every year at the White Rose Dance Festival every summer.

Woo hoo! Edinburgh? Highlands? I hear there's a good zoo in Edinburgh, and the castle is pricey but worth it.
If Highlands or islands, I bet the kids would enjoy the Katie Morag picturebooks.
