Perhaps it's because I don't often wear jewelry -- the only visible "conversation piece" I offer (not that it's my choice to offer it), is being nine months pregnant.
So, the things random people said to me today are as follows:
"You look ready to pop."
"It won't be long now, huh?"
"You're a very pretty pregnant lady."

p.s. my water consumption is down to a regular 64 oz per day. At the 128 oz per day rate I was doing, my next purchase was going to be 'Depends' undergarments
oh the pregnancy comments...so funny. i love the sex guessing that goes on before you find out what it is.
Patricia, no, you didn't say any of the above yesterday. It's not stuff from people I talk to most weeks that bugs me. . .it's the comments from those who wouldn't have anything to say to me if I weren't pregnant that gets on my nerves.
Celine, I still get the sex guessing. The best was when Cami & I were in the HP post office about 10 days ago. The postal employees decided to take turns guessing -- and if the ultrasound was correct, they all guessed wrong.
I think the trick is to wear such outrageous jewelry that it trumps your stomach as your "conversation piece." I'll go through my Grandma's jewelry box and see what I can find for ya.
